Liam Payne reportedly seen arguing with a woman about money hours before his death, hotel guest claims
Liam Payne's untimely death on October 16, after falling from his Buenos Aires hotel balcony, is now an ongoing investigation. While collecting evidence, police discovered a trashed room along with medication scattered all over. The Mail exclusively reported that he was seen arguing with a woman at about 2 pm local time, before his death.
According to the outlet, the late singer was arguing with the woman over money, in the hotel lobby, as reportedly stated by a fellow guest. Amid the terrible incident, hotel guests have shared some spine chilling events that they allegedly witnessed before Liam's demise.
Many claimed that they heard violent 'noises' and a 'scream.' One guest even claimed that Liam had spoken about One Direction before his death. According to the guest, the 31-year-old singer allegedly said:
"I used to be in a boy band - that's why I'm so f**ked up."
Michael Fleischmann, a fellow guest who claimed that Liam was fighting with an unidentified woman in the lobby, also revealed that the argument possibly happened about three hours before the unfortunate incident took place. According to Fleischmann, Liam Payne repeatedly told the woman:
"I’ll give you $20,000 dollars just because I can. I have $55 million and I like to help people."
The woman reportedly was speaking in Spanish and the hotel manager had to translate it to English for Liam. Fleischmann further added that he recognized that the man causing trouble in the lobby as Liam Payne, only after he died.
A fellow guest revealed that hours before his death, Liam Payne seemed quite agitated, upset and "a little wild".
Michael Fleischmann, who was another guest in the Buenos Aires hotel, described the way he had allegedly seen Liam Payne before his death. According to Fleischmann, Payne "seemed very upset, agitated, a little wild, walking around and pacing."
Michael Fleischmann's mother who was also in the hotel with her son, said:
"It just looked like she was extremely uncomfortable with him, and a little apprehensive. It was just my son, me, Liam Payne, the woman and the staff. The manager was trying to politely intervene or calm him down. There was a feeling of anxiety in the area."
The mother-son duo got into the same lift as Liam, before moving out of the hotel. They then added that they allegedly saw the woman outside the hotel on her cellphone.
Another guest, who wanted to stay anonymous, also claimed to be one of the last people to have spoken to Liam. The guest, who is a 28-year-old IT consultant, managed to get photos of Liam Payne, while he was in the lobby and was reportedly in the hotel to attend a wedding.
She revealed that Payne was supposed to have checked out on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the morning. He, however, didn't do so even in late afternoon. The photos clicked by her were taken at about 4.26 pm local time, as per The Daily Mail reports.
A little over half an hour later, hotel authorities had to call emergency services in connection to Liam's fall from his room balcony.
His family and fans are distraught after the tragic news.
