Steve Burns, best known as Steve from Blue's Clues, went viral after posting an emotional TikTok video on Wednesday, November 6, one day after the 2024 US presidential election.

The Blue's Clues host didn't share a word in the entire clip, but it showed him taking a break outdoors while sipping from one of the mugs he brought, and resting his arm on a fence. He's also seen gazing in the distance and sometimes looking at the camera in the video.

Hours after posting the video, it gained over a million views, over 600k likes, and more than 20k comments, as of this writing. The TikTok video also circulated on other social media platforms, with fans commenting on what they think about the emotional clip from Steve from Blue's Clues.

"It really took watching the Steve from Blue's Clues, Arthur and Sesame Street TikToks they made to comfort us to finally give me that cry I’ve been holding in about the election. They really touched my inner child," an X user said.

The Blue's Clues host kept his TikTok video uncaptioned, but it didn't deter fans from sharing what they thought the clip was all about.

"This vid is him commiserating with his fans about the election results. It's kind of a "you-had-to-be-there" pop culture thing to fully appreciate his frame," a Reddit user commented.
"If we weren't then he wouldn't bother making this video. Mr Roger's would've also been there and seen all the people who did actually show up and know that we did try our best," another Reddit user said.
"You know things are bad when Steve is like “I need to address the nation," a Reddit user added.

Fans also appreciated Steve from Blue's Clues' TikTok video, despite him not saying anything in it. Some of them mentioned that the host was a "huge part" of their life as a kid and remains someone to turn to even in their adulthood.

"And when I say having Steve from Blue's Clues on my fyp making me cry today I mean it. That man was a huge part of my childhood and somehow adult me still needs him today," a user on X said.
"Just saw a TikTok by Steve from Blue's Clues where we just sat in silence for a minute... I love him so much he's such a light in this world," another X user said.

Steve from Blue's Clues' recent TikTok video comes after his viral "checking in" video

Steve Burns' recently viral 1-minute TikTok video comes a few months after the TV personality made headlines for posting another TikTok clip where he was supposedly "checking in" on his followers. The March 2024 video showed talking to the camera, addressing his followers, saying:

"Hey, I'm checking in. Tell me what's going on."

In the video, he kept his attention on the camera and seemingly nodded to what the person from the other side of the camera was telling him. Around a month after posting the video, he told Today in April that he posted the clip as a way to continue the "philosophy" of Blue's Clues. Burns, who sang the Young Sheldon theme song, said:

"The philosophy of Blue's Clues was always about respect, and always about communicating with the home viewer from a place of understanding and without condescension."

He also talked about the kid's series having "so much silence in it," and it was something that he wanted to do. It appears that Steve Burns continued with the same philosophy in his recent TikTok video, where he doesn't say a thing in the one-minute-long clip before nodding to the camera and taking a breath as the video ends.
