The Penguin episode 5: Major spoilers to expect
The fourth episode of The Penguin, titled Cent'Anni, premiered on HBO Max on October 13, 2024, it focused on Sofia Falcone's backstory. Taking place 10 years in the past, the episode explores Sofia's downfall and how she exactly got the name, Hangman. Aside from that, the show also explores the reason why she got into Arkham.
The Penguin episode 4 then sets up episode 5 in a huge way when it's revealed that it was Carmine who actually committed the crimes that Sofia was accused of and had her sent to jail. After getting out of jail, Sofia exacts her revenge on the Falcone family by killing everyone and taking the top spot effectively making her in charge of the business.
Given that Sofia Falcone now controls the biggest empire in Gotham City, fans can expect to see her be the new kingpin of the criminal underworld. Aside from that, fans can also expect to see her going after Oswald Cobb as he did betray her previously, and this is sure to come back and bite him.

What can fans expect from The Penguin episode 4?
Sofia running the Falcone family
Going into the next episode of The Penguin, fans can fully expect Sofia to be running the entirety of the Falcone family business. In the first three episodes, fans got to see that she was able to turn the medicine that was given to patients in Arkham into a drug called Bliss, and now with no one to stop her from pursuing selling it, fans will get to see her operate the largest drug business in Gotham.
She will also utilize Johnny Vitti's help to do so, as he was the only one who was spared from being killed off. However, it remains to be seen how Sofia will operate this business alone without the help of Oswald and Victor.
With Sofia now running the Falcone business alone as well, other crime families like the Maronis will also be gunning for her. It will still be an uphill battle for her since she still needs to prove her name like her father, Carmine Falcone.
Sofia going after Oswald
In episode three of The Penguin, Sofia finally learns that Oswald has been double-crossing her and is working for the Maronis as well. It is further revealed in episode 4, that Sofia learns that Oswald killed her brother Alberto and escaped without her during the gunfight with the Maronis.
With Oswald now having betrayed Sofia multiple times, she will be gunning for him - not to mention that he was the reason that she went to Arkham in the first place as well.
Oswald going after the Maronis
With both Sofia and the Maronis knowing that Oswald betrayed them, he will definitely be back on his own again here. The preview for the fifth episode confirms that Oswald will be going after the Maroni family now as Sofia has eliminated the majority of the Falcone family.
How he does so, remains to be seen, but given that Oswald has been showcased as a scheming mastermind, he can surely pull it off.
