The Pogues are back for more action and adventure with Outer Banks season 4 which dropped on Netflix on October 10, 2024, with its first part. This season is the biggest season in the series yet and has been split into two five-episode parts. Part 1 has already premiered and Part 2 is dropping on November 7, 2024.

Set 18 months after the events of the last season, season 4 opens with the group now set up with a pretty successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop. But when the money runs down, they have to agree to take up Wes Genrette’s proposal of finding Blackbeard's lost treasure, which means another new adventure awaits the Pogues.

About Outer Banks season 4

Eighteen months have passed since we saw the Pogues in the finale of season 3 when they found the gold in El Dorado. While they were still grappling with the loss of both Ward (Charles Esten) and Big John (Charles Halford), they had enough reason to celebrate their big win.

Flash-forward eighteen months later, we see the Pogues down on their luck again and accepting Wes Genrette’s (David Jensen) proposal to find Blackbeard’s treasure. Season 4 takes us back in time to explore how the Pogues were living after finding the gold at El Dorado and their commitment to return to a “normal” life.

They built themselves a new safe haven, officially called “Poguelandia 2.0,” where they live together and run a fairly successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop.

But after facing some financial setbacks, John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo take Wes up on his offer and are drawn back into the treasure-hunting game and another brand new adventure. But before they know it, the Pogues find themselves in over their heads with dangerous new enemies racing them to the treasure.

What does part 2 have in store for us?

The second part of Outer Banks season 4 will delve into the story of what led Larissa and Charles to give up JJ and also reveal whether Charles and Wes always knew who JJ was.

At the end of season 4 part 1 we saw Pope and Sarah stuck underground in the catacomb and there seems to be no way out. Will the duo manage to escape, especially with the water level rising?
