The Neighborhood season 7: Release date, cast, plot, and everything you need to know
The beloved sitcom The Neighborhood season 7 is making a comeback on CBS this October. The new season will premiere on Monday, October 21. The show centers on a white family from the Midwest as they learn to live in a primarily black neighborhood in Pasadena, California.
Emmy-winner Glynn Turman, of The Wire fame, has joined the cast as Otis, Tina's (Tichina Arnold) father. The sixth season of the show, which debuted on February 12, 2024, was renewed in January 2023. The seventh season of the show was renewed in April 2024.

The lead cast of the comedy series is returning for the seventh season, along with the addition of one new member played by Glynn Turman. Turman's character, Otis, is a likable man who recently went through a divorce, and he will feature in a two-episode arc in The Neighborhood season 7. Here's a recap of the characters:

The main characters of the sitcom are the next-door neighbors Dave (Max Greenfield) and Calvin (Cedric the Entertainer), together with their spouses Tina (Tichina Arnold) and Gemma (Beth Behrs). Hank Greenspan portrays Grover, the son of Dave and Gemma, while Sheaun McKinney and Marcel Spears play Malcolm and Marty, the sons of Calvin and Tina.
The Neighborhood season 7 can be expected to carry on with entertaining tropes and themes
There is no official announcement regarding the new themes or plot points of the new season. However, the sitcom will likely rely on some of its old troupes. The Butler family dynamic is expected to change after Marty and Courtney's startling pregnancy reveal in season 6.

The Neighborhood premiered on CBS in 2018. According to a report published in Variety, on May 6, 2024, Tracy Morgan will play Francois "Frank" Crutchfield in the The Neighborhood spin-off Crutch by Paramount+. The Neighborhood was filmed at Radford Studio Center in Studio City, California.
