Survivor Series: WarGames has largely been built around the two titular bouts with much TV time devoted to The OG Bloodline vs. The New Bloodline. However, WWE has also announced several championship matches.
Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest. For the first time since SummerSlam 2024, the Intercontinental Title will be up for grabs at a PLE as Bron Breakker defends his belt against Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser.
The United States Champion, LA Knight, will also battle the devious and dangerous Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series. Hence, WWE's landscape could look very different next week.
Gunther asked Ludwig Kaiser to step up to make a name for himself. In only a matter of weeks, Kaiser has grown out of The Ring General's massive shadow to create waves in the IC Title scene.
After interrupting Sheamus and Bron Breakker's IC Championship match, Kaiser delivered a statement by attacking and laying out both men. The Celtic Warrior returned the favor by ruining Kaiser's one-on-one bout with The Unpredictable Bad*ss on RAW this week.
Either way, Kaiser needs to be taken seriously as he has shown great potential as a singles star. The Triple Threat environment would allow the Tag Team Specialist to sneak a pinfall over Sheamus and win the IC Title.
In an unforeseen sight, Gunther is the underdog heading into his World Heavyweight Title defense against Damian Priest at Survivor Series. Priest suggested that The Ring General has lost his "vibe," referring to his unconvincing win at SummerSlam and loss to Cody Rhodes.
The Archer of Infamy has gained a strong mental advantage, putting him in a strong position to reclaim the World Title this weekend. Furthermore, Priest put Gunther through the announce table on RAW, further shaking the champion's confidence.
Fans expect The Ring General to hold the championship till WrestleMania 41, but Priest could end his run much sooner than expected.
The Women's WarGames match provides the ideal setting for Tiffany Stratton to cash in her Money in The Bank contract. Nia Jax and Liv Morgan will both step inside the massive steel cage.
Given the brutality built into the WarGames match, regardless of the outcome, Jax and Morgan will be spent and weakened following the conclusion of the bout. This would entice Stratton to cash in on either champion.
Ms. Money in The Bank has teased a cash-in on Queen Jax several times, despite their friendship. The ultimate betrayal and title win could ultimately come at Survivor Series.
The US Championship will be defended on PLE for the second time in the same month as LA Knight takes on a refreshed Shinsuke Nakamura, who has blindsided the champion a couple of times.
The Artist is a master at manipulation and possesses incredible skill. It is difficult to bet against Nakamura, but the Japanese sensation has been a non-factor for the majority of 2024. With little momentum and heat, Nakamura could be a placeholder challenger for Knight.
The Megastar will certainly have to bring his A-game, as The Artist will take Knight to the limit. However, a title change is unlikely.
