Major champion will happily give up the title following injury of another top WWE star, says Jonathan Coachman
WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman recently discussed the possibility of the Women's Tag Team Championship getting vacated following the injury of Jade Cargill, which left fans shocked. He claimed The Storm's partner would happily give up the title.
Last Friday on SmackDown, Cargill was found unconscious on the hood of a car. She was rushed to a local medical center before the company later announced that one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions had suffered deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, a sprained MCL in her right knee, a bruised kidney, tibial plateau bone bruise on her right knee, and facial lacerations and would be out of action indefinitely. While addressing the future of the Women's Tag Team Title on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Coachman predicted it would be vacated and a tournament would be held to crown new champions.
The former Interim RAW General Manager claimed Belair would happily give up the title because she does not care about it:
"Bianca may be a great actress and she may act like she doesn't wanna give them up. She's happily gonna give up those Tag Team Titles. She doesn't care about them at all. You don't make money in WWE as a tag team champion of the world. You just don't. You gotta be on your own. You gotta be out there doing it," he said. [7:07 - 7:25]
Jonathan Coachman's co-host wants an absent WWE star to return to face Bianca Belair
On the same episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Jonathan Coachman's co-host, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci, praised Bianca Belair's work.
Carlucci disclosed his desire to see Charlotte Flair return to square off against The EST, claiming the match would be incredible:
"She's [Belair] one of the best women superstars we have right now. And there's a lack of them. Hopefully, Becky [Lynch] comes back or whatever is happening there. And I'd love to see Charlotte come back, man, going against Bianca that would be an incredible match," he said.
The Queen has been out of action since December 2023 when she suffered multiple knee injuries during a match against Asuka on SmackDown. It would be interesting to see if Belair will challenge her first upon her WWE return.
