31-year-old WWE star to turn babyface after 861 days on SmackDown for one major reason? Exploring the potential

The upcoming episode of SmackDown is set to emanate from Moda Center in Portland, Oregon and WWE has advertised huge things for tonight. The show will see a major progression in the feuds and storylines for Royal Rumble 2025. However, Triple H may have a huge surprise in store as one of SmackDown's most notorious heels could be on the cusp of a character transition.

After dominating WWE as a formidable heel for the last two years, Solo Sikoa might turn babyface after 861 days. The one major reason behind a potential character shift is that Sikoa is bound by a promise that he once made. Back in September last year, WWE showed a backstage segment where the 31-year-old shed light on the significance of the Ula Fala which was then in his custody.

With Tama Tonga by his side, Solo Sikoa solemnly declared that if the Ula Fala ever went into Roman Reigns' possession, they would have to acknowledge the latter as their Tribal Chief. Now that The OTC finally reclaimed the sacred necklace by defeating him on RAW, The Street Champion may have no other choice but to bow down before his former leader.

Complying with Reigns, who is currently one of the biggest babyfaces in the company, can mark the onset of a 'good guy' character for whoever associates with him. But when it comes to Solo Sikoa, the possibility of him turning babyface is relatively low.

However, he may still acknowledge Roman Reigns. A major reason that may compel Sikoa to uphold his promise is that the Ula Fala was bestowed upon Roman by none other than The Rock after the Tribal Combat match.

Therefore, the 31-year-old may have no other option but to comply with what The Final Boss feels is the rightful thing. Solo's last heel run spanned from November 30, 2021, to September 2, 2022. It will be interesting to see whether WWE plans to make a drastic change to his character on SmackDown.

Solo Sikoa's rivalry with Roman Reigns to continue on SmackDown?

The Bloodline's storyline has been the main attraction of SmackDown for the last four years. When it comes to recent months, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa have been holding down the forte and moving the wagons of the saga. Now that The OTC finally reclaimed his throne by vanquishing Solo Sikoa, has WWE still got more layers to unfold in this feud?

It does not look like it. The rivalry between Reigns and Sikoa may have come to an end for now.

The company does not seemingly intend to stretch this as things have started to get quite repetitive. With the former Undisputed WWE Champion getting custody of the Ula Fala, the company may have fresh things in store for him.

The Original Tribal Chief may officially begin his feud with Drew McIntyre as the latter has been on a rampage against the OG Bloodline. Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa and his faction could feud with the babyface tag teams and factions on SmackDown, paving the way for a fresh storyline.

It will be interesting to see what WWE has in store for Roman Reigns upon his next appearance. Things will certainly get interesting as the company kicks off the Road to WrestleMania 41.
