4 WWE stars who could turn heel in 2025

2024 is officially behind WWE, but what an incredible year it was. Major moments such as Bayley becoming world champion, Cody Rhodes finishing his story, and CM Punk's brutal fight with Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell made for a memorable 365 days.

The company has had unbelievable success and much of that can be attributed to a very popular group of babyfaces. From Rhea Ripley to Cody Rhodes to CM Punk to LA Knight, the company has numerous major stars fans love to cheer for.

With that being said, a great babyface needs a great heel to work with. For as many great heroes as there are, Triple H needs to book strong heels too. One way to do that is to turn a top babyface into a villain.

In 2025, there are several big turns that could take place. For example, Cody Rhodes could shockingly turn heel on someone close to him and Bianca Belair could be revealed as a mastermind. This article will tackle both of those potential scenarios and a few other heel turns that might happen this year.

#4. Lyra Valkyria could turn on Becky Lynch

Lyra Valkyria is one of the best female wrestlers in the world and WWE fans are beginning to realize it. Her series of matches with IYO SKY have been some of the best on television both in and out of WWE. She is excellent.

WWE fans know that Lyra's mentor and long-time wrestling hero is Becky Lynch. The two teamed up together in the past and even had an epic NXT Women's Championship match on NXT television last year.

With Becky seemingly returning to television in the next week, she and Lyra reuniting seems inevitable. Before 2025 ends, however, Valkyria may turn heel on her mentor. This will then set up an exciting teacher vs. student feud. Can Lyra prove to be better than The Man?

#3. Seth Rollins could take a villainous turn

Seth Rollins is one of the top stars in WWE and he has been for a decade now. He joined the main roster as a member of The Shield and has gone on to win numerous world titles.

The Visionary is currently feuding with CM Punk. For now, the WWE rivalry is being presented as less of a heel vs. babyface dynamic and instead is two top stars who hate each other. That could change over time, however.

Much like Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens, Seth could eventually snap and turn fully heel because of his frustrations. These apply both to CM Punk, but also to Roman Reigns and The O.G. Bloodline. Don't be shocked to see The Visionary become a villain soon.

#2. Bianca Belair could turn heel on Jade Cargill

Bianca Belair is one of the greatest female performers in WWE history. She is a multi-time world champion, having dominated both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown since being called up in 2020.

Currently, Belair is one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions alongside Naomi. Her real partner is meant to be Jade Cargill, but The Storm was found beaten and battered in the parking lot and has been absent ever since.

It could come out that Bianca is the one who either attacked her partner or set Jade up. This would then turn The EST into a villain for the first time on the main roster. From there, Jade and Bianca could have a big feud leading to a match at WrestleMania.

#1. Cody Rhodes could shock the WWE Universe and turn heel

Cody Rhodes is the top dog in pro wrestling. He is the Undisputed WWE Champion after having defeated Roman Reigns for the prized belt at WrestleMania 40. Nobody has been able to dethrone the former Stardust in the 8 months since then.

The American Nightmare is in a heated feud with Kevin Owens. The Prizefighter turned heel on Cody for Rhodes' brief affiliation with their long-time rival Roman Reigns. As a result of this heel turn, Kevin also attacked and hospitalized wrestling legend Randy Orton.

In what could be an interesting twist, Cody could turn heel in 2025 by also attacking Orton. The Viper could return and have Cody's back, but also wants the world title. In response, The American Nightmare could snap and become overly paranoid, which would make for an incredibly interesting turn of events.
