5 Reasons why Paul Heyman will betray Roman Reigns

Paul Heyman – Roman Reign’s Wiseman with The Bloodline finally returned to live TV during last week’s edition of SmackDown. OTC and OG Bloodline fans were elated now that the team is officially back.

Despite this, there are still those who are a bit concerned that Heyman may no longer be doing business with Reigns and the rest of his crew and eventually betraying his Tribal Chief.

If that were the case, what would be the reasons why he would be opting for such a move? Here are just some of the plausible reasons.

#5. Paul Heyman hasn’t spoken to Roman Reigns since WrestleMania

WrestleMania XL was dubbed as the most successful PLE in WWE to date. It was also a fateful day for Roman Reigns as Cody Rhodes ended his 1,316-day reign as the company’s undisputed champion.

After their epic match, eagle-eyed fans saw both Paul Heyman and Reigns hug each other before heading backstage. Since then, the two have not been seen together on WWE TV as Reigns went on a hiatus while his Wiseman tried to keep things at bay within the faction.

The lack of communication got fans musing about what was going on between them. Additionally, it also gave folks a feeling of uncertainty about their partnership by the time Heyman returns.

While it is true that Heyman’s much-anticipated return finally happened during last week’s edition of The Blue Brand, it seems that the two have not spoken to each other during The Bloodline’s promo. Further, a clip also showed Heyman and CM Punk walking side by side as they head backstage followed by Reigns and the rest of the OG crew.

#4. Paul Heyman changed his contact number

Roman Reigns had a backstage segment on the November 15 episode of SmackDown where he attempted to call Paul Heyman. However, he was surprised to learn that The Wiseman’s phone was already disconnected which sparked speculations among fans.

One of them is that Heyman may already have changed his phone number and no longer wanted to be associated with The Bloodline.

In another segment, the OGs can be seen watching the TV screen showing Solo Sikoa making his way to the ring. Keen-eyed fans were quick to notice that Sami Zayn took a phone out of his pocket and tossed it on the couch.

While some fans believe that it was just a harmless act since they are about to clash with Solo’s Bloodline that night, some think that aside from Heyman, Zayn could also be up to something.

#3. Roman Reigns not rescuing Paul Heyman during The Bloodline and Solo Sikoa’s attack

As mentioned, Paul Heyman tried his best to keep the remaining members of The Bloodline intact (and in order) while Roman Reigns was away. However, everything went south for the group when Solo Sikoa assumed authority and went to add vicious members of the Anoa’i family.

Its culmination was during the June 28 edition of SmackDown where The Wiseman was attacked by the group after refusing to acknowledge Solo as The Bloodline’s new Tribal Chief. Fans hoped at the time that the OG Tribal Chief would swoop in for the save, but no Roman Reigns came out from the Titantron.

This may give Heyman a reason to no longer align himself with the former champion and eventually betray Reigns when the opportunity arrives.

#2. The Wink

Paul Heyman’s surprise return during last week’s edition of SmackDown created a huge pop as he was sorely missed by the WWE Universe. The crowd lost it when he revealed CM Punk as the fifth man in the OG Bloodline’s team for the upcoming Survivor Series WarGames match against Solo Sikoa’s version of the faction.

At the tail end of the segment, it was noticed that Heyman gave Jimmy Uso a wink which gave some fans a feeling that something was off. Whatever The Wiseman’s plans are the things that transpired in SmackDown gave fans another reason to tune in every week and hyped up for the upcoming Survivor Series.

Another thing worth noting was Paul Heyman’s suit on his return to WWE TV. Like the aforementioned wink to Jimmy Uso, folks were also quick to notice that Heyman wore something similar to that of Solo Sikoa’s.

For those unaware, he donned a red shirt and a red handkerchief in the pocket of his black suit. Some fans believe that it was just pure coincidence since it would not make any sense for Heyman to align himself with the people who attacked him back in June.

Others believe that this too was a hint that he already has plans for Roman Reigns cooked up and this could all unfold come Survivor Series: WarGames.
