On WWE SmackDown, fans witnessed tension between a tag team after one member snapped at the other. Following the show, DIY's Johnny Gargano shared an update in which The Motor City Machine Guns came to his aid when Tommaso Ciampa pushed him.
The 39-year-old star interfered during a WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Motor City Machine Guns and the Street Profits on the previous edition of the blue brand. Ciampa assaulted Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins before shoving his tag team partner to the mat.
During the November 22, 2024, episode of SmackDown, Ford defeated The Blackheart with a roll-up pin. However, Tommaso Ciampa was unhappy with the result. Post-match, the 39-year-old star launched a brutal attack on the Street Profits member.
It was Gargano who saved his tag team partner when Dawkins was all over him. In a heated moment, Ciampa snapped at Johnny Wrestling, who is a one-time NXT Champion, a three-time NXT North American Champion, a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion, and a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
Before The Blackheart could inflict further damage on his tag team partner, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin stood side-by-side with Gargano. The six-time WWE champion took to X/Twitter and shared a photo alongside The Motor City Machine Guns.

Tommaso Ciampa has been wreaking havoc on SmackDown because he feels that DIY deserves a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship. It appears that their streak of not getting a title match will continue.
In a backstage segment on this week's SmackDown, The Motor City Machine Guns informed Johnny Gargano that the Street Profits would be the next challengers for the WWE Tag Team Championship and not DIY.
As of now, Ciampa and Johnny Wrestling have not officially disbanded as a tag team. The future of DIY remains uncertain, and it is unclear if the duo will split up in the coming weeks.
