A former WWE Superstar has recently confirmed that he will not return to the ring. This update comes amid some buzz that he might.
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer X-Pac has been getting in better shape, showing off his physique on social media. This had gotten fans wondering whether that meant a potential in-ring return. However, that is not the case.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo during the red carpet for Monday Night RAW's premiere on Netflix, X-Pac revealed that he isn't returning to the ring. He even ruled out a potential swerve where he may return at the Royal Rumble before stating that he's just trying to improve his health:
"No. Beat around the bush? No. I mean, then watch next thing you know I show up on (Royal) Rumble or something. But no. I'm just trying to get in better shape," said X-Pac. [0:44-0:57]
The nine-time WWE champion member last wrestled on March 31, 2022, losing to Joey Janela during WrestleMania 38 weekend. He had expressed interest in entering the Men's Royal Rumble Match that year, but it was turned down, likely due to WWE not wanting any outside talents or NXT superstars in the Rumble.
Like X-Pac, Ric Flair revealed that he wouldn't be wrestling another match again.
The Nature Boy did state on his official X/Twitter handle that he was in shape to do so but opted against it. He even took a shot at Bronson Reed in his tweet:
"No Return To The Ring Ever! Thankful For The Great Health And The Conditioning That Would Allow Me To. @BRONSONISHERE Couldn’t Tsunami Me On His Best Day," tweeted Ric Flair.
Ric Flair also last wrestled in 2022, teaming with his son-in-law Andrade against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. Amid the discussion over his in-ring future, the legendary star is reportedly in talks with WWE over an appearance at this year's Royal Rumble.
