Former champion sends message ahead of WWE SmackDown; promises to win back title

WWE SmackDown is sure to feature some incredible matches this Friday. One such bout will see a major title on the line, and a former champion has recently sent a message promising to win it back.

LA Knight lost the United States Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series: WarGames. He has now taken to X, vowing to win it back. They are scheduled to face each other this Friday, with LA exercising his rematch clause. Given Nakamura's psychological attacks, it is sure to be an exciting night in Portland, Oregon.

However, perhaps looking to get ahead of the mind games, Knight hyped himself on X/Twitter, claiming everybody in the arena at WWE SmackDown would soon be screaming his name.

"Soon… The Nation’s Champ comes back around and takes what’s rightfully his...With everybody sayin’…" wrote LA Knight.

The WWE Universe will be waiting to see if LA can deliver on his word or if Nakamura will get the better of him again.

Tiffany Stratton could celebrate her title win this week on WWE SmackDown

This week's episode of WWE SmackDown could also be a huge one for Tiffany Stratton. The Buff Barbie made headlines last Friday when she finally cashed in her Money in the Bank on Nia Jax. It was a surreal moment that she and the fans had been waiting ages for, and she delivered, standing tall as the new WWE Women's Champion.

With that in mind, this week's episode will mark the first time she comes out as the reigning champion, and we could see her kick things off with a celebration. After all, she did the same for "Queen" Nia when she first beat Bayley. However, she must also be extra cautious, as The Irresistible Force will likely be out for her head.

There is much to be excited about heading into this week's episode of the blue brand. It will be interesting to see how things unfold.
