John Cena is set to return to WWE next Monday on RAW. Wrestling veteran Bin Hamin suggested a former champion would be an ideal opponent for the Leader of the Cenation.

The 16-time World Champion has been an in-ring competitor on the WWE main roster since 2002. Last July, Cena made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank to announce that he will hang up his boots by the end of 2025. His retirement tour will kick off on Monday on the premiere of RAW on Netflix.

While discussing Cena's return on the Cafe de Rene podcast, Bin Hamin claimed Logan Paul would be an ideal opponent for the 47-year-old. He pointed out that the former United States Champion had delivered in every match he wrestled in the Stamford-based company. Meanwhile, the wrestling veteran stated that a square-off between The Maverick and Cena would be mainstream box office:

"There was word that it was gonna be him vs. Logan Paul. But now that that's possibly kiboshed, I think that's the best match possible for him. Logan Paul has delivered in every match that he's had. Like, incredibly, way more than you would ever expect him to. And Cena and him would be mainstream box office as opposed to, who in the wrestling bubble can he fight? Who gives a f***? You really wanna see him vs. [Kevin] Owens or AJ and a reignited feud? That's for wrestling fans who just watch," he said.

Hamin added that WWE booking Cena against Paul would allow the company to get maximum value out of the Leader of the Cenation's retirement tour:

"If you want the goodbye tour or you want the world to see you, especially he's already an established movie star, so let's get max value of out this. And aside from, you know, I'm not sure who else is on the outside as a celebrity, nobody could give him a match like Logan Paul could." [1:22:23 - 1:23:11]

Ex-WWE star wants John Cena to win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble

On the same episode of the Cafe de Rene podcast, a fan asked former Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree if John Cena should win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match.

The wrestling veteran disclosed that he believes the Leader of the Cenation should win the match, pointing out that he had been the face of the company for many years:

"Well, you know, WWE is an enigma. It's a worldwide brand. Who's been the face of that company longer than Cena? It wasn't Ric Flair. So, yeah, I think he should [win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble] honestly," he said.

Several superstars have expressed their desire to share the ring with Cena before he retires. It will be interesting to see who will fulfill his wish.
