The New Day has been dealing with issues on WWE RAW, as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods haven't been able to get on the same page as a duo. Recently, Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley said a major swerve could take place when the duo celebrates their 10-year anniversary next week.
The New Day is on the cusp of its potential end as a unit, and it looks like the heartbreaking split might take place next week. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley, aka Bully Ray, thinks the split is inevitable but with a major twist.
Speaking on Busted Open, the multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion stated he's on board with the split and a potential rivalry between Woods and Kingston. However, there are many ways it can go, and Dudley can also see Kofi Kingston turn heel in the program instead of Xavier Woods when the segment takes place.
"I'm on board with this deception, and I'm on board with this rivalry. I think it can go far. I would love to see [Xavier] Woods as the heel. But let's not say Kofi [Kingston] could be the guy also," Dudley said. [From 31:10 onwards]
Big E might return to WWE but won't be able to save The New Day, says Tommy Dreamer
The New Day has lost a step and hasn't been the same since Big E's unfortunate injury and absence from the weekly product. The legendary duo has taken too many losses on WWE RAW, with the recent one being against Otis and Akira Tozawa.
Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer believes Big E could return to WWE for The New Day's 10-year anniversary on Monday Night RAW but won't be able to save the duo from a heartbreaking split.
"It's going to be weird next week. It's a hell of a build. It's not just like this great celebration where everyone's happy. I think after next week, it's over. I want to see Big E come back; I want to have my one last picture of them together, and then your parents are getting divorced. Your favorite couple is breaking up, and it's over," Dreamer said.
