WWE is less than two hours away from the Survivor Series go-home edition of RAW, featuring the final build for WarGames and the rest of Saturday's big PLE. New details on a massive match announced for RAW were just disclosed, and how this could have a big impact on expected plans.
The Judgment Day just passed the five-month mark in their reign as WWE World Tag Team Champions. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh dethroned Awesome Truth's The Miz and R-Truth on the June 24 RAW, ending their reign at 79 days. Since then, Finn and JD have made just one successful televised title defense, which came over The New Day in mid-September.
The War Raiders will now receive their shot at the World Tag Team Championship. Tonight's live RAW from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ, is set to feature Erik and Ivar vs. Balor and McDonagh, with the World Tag Team Championship on the line.
Since returning from injuries in early October, The War Raiders defeated Alpha Academy in the first round of the contender's tournament, then won the Triple Threat finals over LWO's Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio, plus The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Erik and Ivar also defeated The New Day three weeks ago in Saudi Arabia, then defeated Carlito and Dominik Mysterio two weeks back in Michigan.
WWE has also announced the following for tonight's loaded live RAW: Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker vs. Ludwig Kaiser in a non-title match, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. The Creeds in a Tornado Tag Team Match, Alpha Academy vs. The New Day, plus Nia Jax vs. Bianca Belair to determine the Women's WarGames Advantage.
