Nick Aldis threatens to fire former Universal Champion on WWE SmackDown

At the start of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis made a huge demand. He made it clear that former Universal Champion Kevin Owens was to return the Winged-Eagle WWE Championship tonight or face repercussions.

Fortunately, this time around, there were no problems from KO. The Prizefighter, as instructed, came to the arena to close out the show, and met with the SmackDown General Manager face-to-face. It was there in the middle of the ring that Nick Aldis delivered an ultimatum.

He made it clear, that the championship be returned, without argument. However, as one would expect, the 40-year-old Owens refused, claiming it was his only bargaining chip. After all, he still believes he was cheated out of a win at Saturday Night's Main Event.

However, before Kevin Owens could whine any further, Nick Aldis interjected and reiterated himself. He demanded that KO return the title, or keep it, and never step foot in a WWE ring ever again.

"I already said that this was not a negotiation. I already said that there would be immediate and severe consequences if you don't hand that over. But, maybe you need me to spell it out to you in plain English. Hand the belt over, or you never set foot in a WWE ring again," claimed Aldis.

For a brief moment, it looked as though Owens was actually contemplating giving up the belt. However, that was when Cody Rhodes' music hit, and from there, all hell broke loose on WWE SmackDown.
