A top WWE Superstar had some bold comments ahead of his big match against CM Punk on the Netflix debut of RAW. Seth Rollins opened up about his issues with CM Punk ahead of their January 6, 2025, outing on the RAW premiere on Netflix.
Punk and Rollins aren't fond of each other in real life. Seth has noted in the past that Punk left WWE, berated the promotion for years, and is now back to square one.
In a new interview on Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins talked in detail about his issues with the former WWE Champion. The Visionary accused Punk of betraying him and turning his back on him.
Check out his comments below:
“CM Punk and I were friends. I mean, he was a mentor to me in real life. He helped train me, he helped guide me, and I used his career kind of as a blueprint for my own. We had cut from the same cloth a little bit, and then he betrayed me. He kind of turns his back on me. And not only that, he then tried to kind of tear down my success over the years, and I have been successful not because of him and his inspiration, but in spite of him and everything he’s done to try to take me down." Punk vs Rollins is quite possibly the most anticipated match of the RAW premiere on Netflix. It's been a while since Punk came back to WWE, and fans can't wait to see these two real-life rivals in the ring.
In the same interview, Rollins said he didn't appreciate Punk badmouthing WWE for years. He then said he would try to punch Punk in the face when they finally collide in a few days.
