Linda McMahon's lawyer recently made it officially known that former WWE CEO Vince McMahon and Linda were separated. As expected, this led to a slew of reactions from veterans and fans alike, one of whom compared Vince to a skunk. This was none other than Vince Russo.

Considering the myriad of controversies Vince McMahon has been surrounded by for years at this point, it is no surprise that he is hardly anyone's favorite right now. Sexual trafficking allegations, among others, have painted him in a terrible light. His departure from WWE itself came as a surprise to many, before the reasons became clear in the ensuing days.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo commented on the official declaration of Linda and McMahon's separation. He said:

"Who would have ever thought. Like Vince McMahon is like a skunk. Everybody's just trying to run away from him. Who would have ever thought, I mean, Chris, how ironic is this. I mean, EC3 knows this. I mean, bro, this guy went how many years with people kissing his backside. Now, people cannot get far enough away from this dude, including his own wife." [2:30 onwards]

The former WWE name also made a statement regarding her new role in US administration

Linda McMahon was recently nominated as the new Secretary of Education by Donald Trump.

Taking to social media, Linda expressed her gratitude after the nomination and clarified her objectives.

"I am deeply honored and humbled for this opportunity and I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure every student has access to a quality education. I've witnessed the transformative power of education, both in the classroom and also in apprenticeship programs. All students should be equipped with the necessary skills to prepare them for a successful future."
