A WWE Hall of Famer has reacted to a major announcement by Eric Bischoff saying he's returning to the company. The statement came during a recent show.

On a recent episode of NXT, Eric Bischoff made a surprise appearance to announce that he was going to be returning to the company for what is presumably a one-off appearance on next week's show. While there could be more dates for him on the show, he interrupted Ridge Holland and Trick Williams to make the announcement. WWE Hall of Famer JBL has now reacted.

Holland made the headlines by defeating Andre Chase to disband Chase University and become the number one contender to Trick Williams' NXT Title. Ridge interrupted the champ this week and talked about how controversy followed him wherever he went. However, he made clear that he didn't care about the controversy. Before he could continue, though, the author of Controversy Creates Cash, Eric Bischoff, appeared to announce he would be a part of next week's NXT.

This will be Bischoff's first return to the company since May 2023. JBL found the WWE return announcement incredible and let it be known, sharing it on social media. He, along with fans, are looking forward to the return.

"Eric Bischoff to NXT? This. Is. Awesome."

What Bischoff will do is anyone's guess, but it seems he'll be involved in the NXT Championship picture in some way.

Eric Bischoff's return to WWE could be interesting, given his legacy

Very few names in the wrestling business have done as much as Eric Bischoff to try and bring WWE to an end. However, after the Monday Night Wars were over and WCW had been purchased by their rivals, Bischoff joined the company he had tried to defeat and became the RAW General Manager.

In his role as a heel authority figure, the star became even more famous, endearing himself to fans with his performances on-screen, even though he was a heel.

Given that whenever he appears, he brings an air of controversy, fans will be waiting to see what he does next.
