WWE recently shared a social media update to send a heartwarming message to Beth Phoenix. The former Divas Champion's contract with the Stamford-based company expired earlier this year.
The Glamazon initially retired from in-ring action in 2012. She returned to the squared circle to compete in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match in 2018, almost a year after her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Phoenix last wrestled at Elimination Chamber 2023, when she teamed up with Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) to beat Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
The three-time WWE Women's Champion turned 44 today. On this occasion, the Sports Entertainment juggernaut posted an update on X (FKA Twitter) to wish Beth Phoenix a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday to WWE Hall of Famer @TheBethPhoenix!" the post read.

Following several reports of her departure from WWE, Beth Phoenix announced during an interaction with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT earlier this year that she became a free agent after her contract expired. Her husband, former World Heavyweight Champion Adam Copeland, parted ways with the wrestling promotion last year before signing a multi-year deal with AEW.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, wrestling veteran Bill Apter mentioned that The Glamazon would likely follow in the erstwhile Edge's footsteps and sign with the Tony Khan-led promotion. The NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) Hall of Famer claimed that it would be a great decision, adding that he would love to see Beth Phoenix go up against Mercedes Moné.
"AEW is the logical choice at this point because her husband, Adam Copeland, is where Beth Copeland belongs at this point. So, yes, she's a recognizable face to the fans that watched her and followed her in WWE, and I think it would be a good move since she's not with WWE anymore. This would be a good logical choice, and I think I'd like to see her in terms of promos battling Mercedes Mone, The CEO," he said. [From 00:28 to 1:08]

Adam Copeland fractured his tibia after jumping from the top of the cage during his Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black at Double or Nothing in May 2024.
Although the 51-year-old retained the TNT Championship, Copeland was stripped of the title due to his injury. Six months later, the veteran performer has yet to return to the squared circle. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Adam and Beth unite on AEW TV in the future.
