WWE veteran left puzzled by new championship reveal by Triple H, says he doesn't "get or understand that" (Exclusive)
A new championship belt was recently unveiled by WWE CCO Triple H, with a very specific set of rules surrounding it. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo thinks that the rules are misguided and unsuitable.
There is a vast array of titles in the Stamford-based promotion, which have also evolved across the eras. While unveiling a new design is quite common, fans did not expect to see another title added to the list altogether. Triple H's announcement truly surprised the critics and veterans alike, when he unveiled the Crown Jewel Title at Bad Blood.
As of now, the Crown Jewel Championship is slated to be fought for at the Saudi Arabia event, with the two top title holders from RAW and SmackDown's male and female divisions participating in the match. Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo suggested an alternative:
"Why not just have a Crown Jewel Championship that is defended when they are in Saudi Arabia. I mean that's special to them. I mean, it's just defended when they are over in Saudi Arabia. I mean ya, the concept and uh, champion vs..., I don't get or understand that at all." [From 01:18 to 01:43]

A veteran is not pleased with the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel PLE card
While the Crown Jewel is one of the biggest events of the year in WWE, Matt Camp is unhappy with the card of the show.
Speaking on The Wrestling Matt podcast, Camp stated that this year's booking for the event seemed lazy to him. He explained:
"It feels like lazy booking, and I don't say that as a whole. I don't mean everything is lazy. I'm saying that this pay-per-view seems to be, this PLE, this Saudi Arabia event seems to be more of a nuisance to WWE; not from the money they're getting from it and that's why they are doing it. But it seems more of a nuisance to deal with before we get to Survivor Series. It seems like it's getting in the way of the booking of the Survivor Series," Camp said.
