There has been an update on the original plans for CM Punk and The Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series. Punk was revealed to be the final member of the OG Bloodline's WarGames team this past Friday night on SmackDown.

According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Punk was always supposed to be part of Roman Reigns' team at Survivor Series: WarGames. Sapp added that he has not heard anything negative about The Second City Saint since his return to WWE. The report noted that the former AEW star has been a model citizen backstage and has also been helpful.

Paul Heyman returned on SmackDown to reveal that Punk would be competing alongside Roman Reigns' team in the WarGames Match this Saturday night at WWE Survivor Series 2024.

Jacob Fatu will face Jey Uso this Friday night on SmackDown to determine which team will have the advantage at the premium live event on Saturday night.

Former WWE writer predicts major star will attack CM Punk at Survivor Series

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes that Seth Rollins will attack CM Punk at Survivor Series this weekend.

Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo claimed that Seth Rollins getting involved in the WarGames match at the premium live event was the only way to make the storyline interesting. The legend stated that Rollins should interfere in the match and cost the OG Bloodline.

"The only thing they could possibly do to make things interesting is if Rollins scre*s Punk and costs the babyfaces that match. Because you got Rollins who's the babyface, he didn't want to go in. The heels scre*ed him, then CM Punk jumps at that opportunity. If Rollins has an issue with that and scre*s Punk, great. If they don't do that, CM Punk was just for the pop. It has nothing to do with the storyline, it has no connection with Roman Reigns whatsoever and you've totally buried Seth Rollins." [From 49:42 onwards]

The OG Bloodline attempted to recruit Seth Rollins to join their team at Survivor Series: WarGames, but the former World Heavyweight Champion refused to partner with Roman Reigns again.

It will be interesting to see if the company has any surprises in store during the Men's WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series.
