The WWE SmackDown crew is pulling double duty tonight. With just one week until the 38th annual Survivor Series PLE, superstars are gearing up for the final build to WarGames and other key rivalries. One major name who is instrumental to the top storylines of WWE is now back to work, and just in time for a major angle.
Michael "PS" Hayes recently went on leave for personal reasons. The Hall of Famer was expected to return, but there was no clear timeframe for when he'd be back. The former Dok Hendrix works as a Senior Producer for WWE, as well as the Vice President of Creative Writing & Booking.
The Fabulous Freebird has officially returned to work for WWE, according to Fightful Select. Hayes is currently backstage at tonight's SmackDown tapings from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and he has resumed his work with The Bloodline.
Hayes has been one of the few people who have handled creative plans for Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. It was noted that he immediately picked right back up on the company's leading storyline. Sources noted that Hayes is listed as the producer for a significant number of segments and matches for tonight, which will cover this week's SmackDown episode and the show to air next Friday as the Survivor Series go-home show.
Hayes returns to work on a night when a major show-closing segment is planned for The Bloodline as the build to WarGames continues. It was also reported that developments between Reigns and Paul Heyman will be revealed tonight, which is in line with the creative that Hayes works on.
