WWE programming is undergoing many changes as the company transitions from cable television to streaming giant Netflix. The company is going to stream all weekly programs in many countries around the world including the United Kingdom. However, that Netflix era starts on January 6th.
The sports entertainment giant currently has no deal in place for its programs to be aired before January 6th. This means fans in the United Kingdom will have to watch the January 3rd edition of Friday Night SmackDown on YouTube. The first Netflix edition of the blue brand in the United Kingdom will be the January 10th edition of SmackDown.
The recent edition of NXT was also streamed on the company's YouTube channel. The debut show of the Netflix era in the UK for NXT will be New Year's Evil.
The WWE archive content has already made its way to Netflix. However, the live weekly episodic shows will only start after the January 6th premiere of Monday Night RAW.
According to online reports, Netflix will give the WWE eight hours of stream time for their live shows. Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown will reportedly become 3 hours each with the remaining two hours being allocated to WWE NXT.
