The official summary of the upcoming documentary reads:

“When a beloved Kansas City Chiefs superfan goes missing, a mystery hiding in plain sight unravels into a shocking revelation.”

Xaviar Michael Babudar’s sensational story was exposed in September 2024, when he was arrested following a bank robbery. Initially, Babudar was known as one of the most ardent fans of the Chiefs.

As per a report published by Deadline on November 29, 2024, he used to show up to each game of the Chiefs, donning a distinct wolf costume. Moreover, he used to follow the team everywhere they went, always occupying a well-positioned seat during the games.

However, as Chiefsaholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing seeks to show, there was far more to Babudar’s story than initially met the eye. It turned out that he used to fund his expensive indulgences by serially robbing banks.

The documentary will feature the interviews of many people, Babudar included, to show how this legendary fan was perceived by the other fans of the club. It is also set to explore the online exploits of Babudar, who used to post fervently in support of The Kansas City Chiefs online.

Babudar was brought to book in September

As per a report published by the United States Attorney’s Office (West District of Missouri) on September 5, 2024, the subject of the documentary, popularly known as Kansas City Chiefs superfan ChiefsAholic, was sentenced in federal court on that day on “charges related to a string of 11 robberies, or attempted robberies.”

The report states that Babudar stole $847,725 from various financial institutions in seven states. The report carries the following statement from U.S. Attorney Teresa Moore:

"While parading as a social media celebrity, the defendant secretly engaged in a violent crime spree of armed robberies and attempted robberies across seven states.”

It continues:

“Babudar’s robbery spree bankrolled the expensive tickets and travel across the country to attend Kansas City Chiefs games while he cultivated a large fan base online.”

The report remarks how the bank and credit union employees were “terrorized at gunpoint” by Babudar and how it is they who had to suffer the “brunt of his true nature”. He tried to evade law enforcement authorities for long but was eventually arrested in Bixby, Oklahoma.
