6 new accusers, including a minor, come forward with sexual assault allegations against Sean 'Diddy' Combs in new civil lawsuits

On Monday, October 14, 2024, six accusers filed civil lawsuits against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging rape and sexual assault. Four men, including one who was 16 then, and two women filed the suits anonymously in a federal court in Manhattan, New York.

Per NBC News, which first obtained the complaints, the accusers are the first of the 120 alleged victims that Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee announced earlier this month. This is also the first time the music mogul has been sued by someone who was a minor at the time of the incident.

Per the publication, the plaintiffs, suing the rapper and various businesses, seek unspecified damages. The new lawsuits follow Combs' arrest on September 16 after being indicted by a grand jury. He is charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.

The new lawsuits against Diddy include alleged incidents dating between 1995 and 2021

Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee has filed the new lawsuits, which include allegations of incidents dating from 1995 through 2021. Several claims echo previous accusations against Combs that he promised fame and stardom to lure victims to the parties where he drugged and assaulted them.

In a press conference on October 1, Buzbee announced that he was representing 120 new victims, 25 of whom were minors. He claimed many of them were drugged before the assault. The lawyer also claimed that his team planned to expose those who "enabled" Diddy behind closed doors, adding that they wanted to be "damn sure" before naming anyone.

Before filing the six complaints, Buzbee stated in an interview with NBC News:

"There’s an overarching theme here, as you probably can see, which is basically Sean Combs feels like he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants to do it."

Per the publication, one of the six accusers is a man from North Carolina who alleged he was 16 (in 1998) when Diddy invited him to his "white party" in the Hamptons. He claims that during a conversation about his aspirations to become a musician, Combs asked him to expose himself and then grabbed his genitals. The suit alleges that the incident "continues to humiliate and cause (him) shame."

Another lawsuit filed by a New York woman details an incident from 1995 when Diddy physically assaulted and raped her in a bathroom. She claims it occurred at Biggie Small's video release party for One More Chance. The lawsuit claims that Combs reportedly threatened her after, saying,

"You better not tell anyone about this, or you will disappear."

Another lawsuit by a woman, a freshman during the incident (in 2004), alleges that Diddy r*ped her in a locked hotel room after inviting her and a friend to a party. He gave them drinks and told them to sniff cocaine. She also alleges that he asked her friend to perform oral s*x on him and threatened their lives if they didn't comply.

A report by Forbes detailed another suit filed by a New Jersey man claiming he was working security at a "white party" in 2006 when he was given alcoholic drinks spiked with ecstasy and other drugs. The man alleges that he was "forcibly pushed into an open van," where Combs s*xually assaulted him.

Another complaint by a man from Ohio claims he was working at Macy’s store at Herald Square in Manhattan in 2008 when Diddy physically assaulted him and forced him to perform oral s*x on him (Combs).

The most recent lawsuit was filed by a man from Georgia. He claims that he worked for a management company in New York in 2021 when he was given a drugged drink that left him disoriented and feeling "paralyzed." The lawsuit alleges that multiple men, including Diddy, assaulted him.

Diddy's legal team has denied all allegations. In a written statement on Monday evening, they asserted:

"The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never s*xually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman."

The statement refers to the hotline number Buzbee shared during his press conference.

After being denied bail twice, the rapper is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center. His trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025.
