"WAIT IS IT TRUE???" — Internet reacts to Eminem allegedly co-producing Kendrick Lamar's Meet the Grahams' beat
On November 23, 2024, an X user @BIRDLAND_BORN alleged that Kendrick Lamar's iconic diss track Meet the Grahams was co-produced by Eminem. In his tweet, the user claimed that The Alchemist revealed it in an appearance on a Big Boy radio show, throwing the internet into a frenzy.
Kendrick Lamar released Meet The Grahams on May 3, 2024, as part of his infamous beef with Drake. It was released as a response to Drake's Family Matters just an hour after Drizzy's release.
According to the X user, The Alchemist claimed he created a "dope" beat with Eminem for Death of Slim Shady in March 2023. A year later, The Alchemist realized that Eminem had forgotten about it, resulting in the beat being scrapped from his new album.
"I told him I played it for someone who really wanted the beat, he asked who & I told him Kendrick. He immediately said "Give it to him, I'm excited to see his take on such a dark beat"," The Alchemist recounted.
However, Eminem allegedly implored The Alchemist to take his name off the producer credits because he didn't want Kendrick Lamar to get his share of hatred from fans.
The internet has exploded after rumors of Eminem's involvement in Meet The Grahams have surfaced. However, many fans have been skeptical about the authenticity of the claim.
"WAIT IS IT TRUE???" a fan wrote on X.
"That uncomfortable moment when even if it's made up the part about forced hate makes it sound true. It makes me so sad, bc it's so wrong," another commented.
"Yo do you have any source? I wanna hear this talk," another chimed in.
One fan argued that the beat didn't sound like Eminem's, writing:
"Nah bro, that beat sounds a hundred percent Alchemist, there's no element that sounds like an Em production. so I call bullcrap until this is proven."
"This story sounds like complete bulls**t," another agreed.
"Wow ! But yeah, Eminem is a culture vulture, right ? Thanks for this story," another added.

Each verse in Meet the Grahams is written as a letter addressed to a member of Drake's family. Lamar has accused Drake of being a s*xual predator and signing s*x offenders to his OVO Sound record label.
Kendrick Lamar also accused Drizzy of running a s*x trafficking ring from his mansion in Toronto. He further predicted that Drake's Toronto mansion would be raided by law enforcement.

In Meet the Grahams, Kendrick Lamar provides multiple references to Drake's Toronto mansion and talks about each member of his family, including his son Adonis, his parents Dennis and Sandra Graham, and his alleged daughter.
Drake's Toronto mansion, also called The Embassy, was constructed on land bought for $6.7 million in 2016, according to CelebrityNetWorth.
Kendrick Lamar raps about The Embassy in Meet the Grahams, saying:
"The Embassy 'bout to get raided too, it's only a matter of time/ Ayy, LeBron, keep the family away, hey, Curry, keep the family away/ To anybody that embody the love for they kids, keep the family away/ They lookin' at you too if you standin' by him, keep the family away."
Kendrick Lamar also makes personal attacks on Drake, including talking to his mother, Sandra, about her son in a verse.
"Dear Sandra/ Your son got some habits, I hope you don't undermine them/ Especially with all the girls that's hurt inside this climate/ You a woman, so you know how it feels to be in alignment/ With emotion, hopin' a man can see you and not be blinded."
The song has already garnered 40 million views on YouTube and peaked at number 12 on Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, it charted at number 6 on US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (Billboard).
