"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 35 SONGS" — Fans react to Taylor Swift announcing TTPD anthology on CD & vinyl

On Tuesday, Taylor Swift announced releasing a CD/vinyl edition of "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology" and also a book celebrating the Eras Tour. According to the announcement, the items will be available in Target stores on Black Friday, November 29, 2024.

While the new version will have four accoustic extra tracks, the vinyl album will have a poster of Taylor in it. The digital album release included 31 tracks. As for the book, it has 256 pages and is decorated with about 500 images. These photos even include ones clicked during the rehearsals. Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour Book will reportedly be available for $39.99.

The exciting announcement was made through her Instagram feed, where Taylor shared a story with a caption that read:

"Excited to announce that The Official Eras Tour Book, filled with my own personal reflections, never-before-seen behind the scenes photos, all the magical memories you guys brought every single night AND …. The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD will all be available for the first time ever...."

Netizens took to social media platforms to react to the announcement.

The Taylor Swift items will first be available in the North American Target stores

Variety reported that the four additional tracks included in the new version weren't present when the announcement for the same was made. Fans had further expressed massive excitement after Taylor Swift made the announcement.

Swift also shared a tweet declaring the final leg of The Eras Tour. In her social media post, she wrote:

"We’ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way."

The first show for the last leg is scheduled for October 18, in Miami. The last show in the US will be on November 3 in Indianapolis. The popstar will then perform in Toronto and Vancouver for the last show dated on December 8.


Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April 2024, has been quite a popular album. About two hours after its release, the studio album was later expanded to a double album with the subtitle The Anthology.

It had topped the Billboard 200 chart and stayed on top for about 15 consecutive weeks, as reported by USA Today.
