Season 4 episode 1 titled Back to School revealed that Gregory and Janine finally gave their romance a chance and began dating during the summer. However, now that the school is open, their story might get a little complicated. Janine is hesitant to reveal her relationship, while the timing of Ava inviting a Human Resources employee to the school didn't match very well.
Abbott Elementary is not the place where news about Janine and Gregory's dating can be kept hidden, as everybody, including the students, is already aware that the two are now a couple. The second episode of the season titled Ringworm, will deal with a student affected by Ringworm and the panic it creates in the school.
