What happened in Teacup season 1 episode 3 and 4?

In Teacup season 1 episode 3, Arlo tells his sister Meryl about Harbinger, the alien spirit that lives inside him.

They are warned about a dangerous killer, and Harbinger leads Meryl and her friend Nicholas into the forest to a crater where he first came into contact with Earth. They find a poisonous liquid, and Harbinger thinks that crossing a mysterious line drawn by a masked stranger will help them get away from the danger.

Meanwhile, Maggie, Arlo’s mother, grows suspicious of Lieutenant Olson after discovering similarities between his behavior and Carmen’s death. That leads to Maggie knocking him out and tying him up in the barn, where Ellen unknowingly becomes possessed by an alien.

In Teacup season 1 episode 4, the tension escalates as Ellen, under the alien’s control, kills Olson. The episode also reveals the true identity of the masked man, McNab, who has a past connection with Harbinger. McNab appears to be an ally, but his intentions remain ambiguous.

At the same time, James and Reuben make a strange discovery involving an alien tree, adding another layer to the mystery. The episodes end with more questions than answers, particularly about Harbinger's true intentions and the spread of the alien threat.
