2-time WWE champion finally breaks silence on whether he has real-life heat with Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley's second tenure with WWE concluded when he parted ways with the company after the expiration of his contract in August 2024. In the wake of The All Mighty's departure, his former adversary, Karrion Kross, has addressed the rumors of a supposed heat between them.

Last year in July, Lashley joined forces with Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford of the Street Profits to form a powerful alliance known as The Pride. They engaged in a heated rivalry with Karrion Kross and The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar).

The feud between The Final Testament and The Pride culminated at WWE WrestleMania XL. The All Mighty and the Street Profits secured a big win over The Herald of Doomsday and The Authors of Pain in a Philadelphia Street Fight that also featured Bubba Ray Dudley as the Special Guest Referee.

The WWE Universe assumed that Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross allegedly had real-life beef during their program on TV. However, the two-time NXT Champion has cleared the air on the matter.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, The Doom Walker stated that there is no tension between him and Bobby Lashley. Karrion Kross emphasized his admiration for the former WWE Champion and the positive experience of working with him.

"I hate that I'm saying this. But zero [heat]; it was a work. He knows I feel this way about him. It's not the first time I'm saying it. And unless you would have asked me about this, I would have never said it. I love that dude to death. After the match, I wanted to tell him afterward so he didn't think I was trying to butter him up before we went out. I told him after the match was done, expressed how much I love him, how much I've looked up to him, what an honor it was to work with him," he said. [H/T: CVV]

Legendary commentator heaps praise on Bobby Lashley after WWE exit

MVP and Shelton Benjamin, former members of The Hurt Business, have already joined Tony Khan's All Elite Wrestling promotion. Given their presence, Lashley's debut on AEW TV seems imminent.

In a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross shared his thoughts on this potential move. The legendary commentator suggested the former WWE Champion had the talent and appeal to succeed in Japan or with major promotions like AEW.

However, Jim Ross noted that the decision ultimately hinged on whether these promotions were willing to invest the necessary resources in terms of both finances and creative direction to secure Bobby Lashley's services.

"He’ll [Lashley] do really good because he’s going to be desirable. Like you said, Japan is an option. I don’t know what the market is there; it’s not like it used to be, but you still can make a decent payday. Scott D’Amore could use Bobby Lashley; I think AEW could use Bobby Lashley. But it’s all a matter of the cash that you got to invest to get the talent on-site and the creative that you’re going to use to utilize it," he said.
