Former WWE writer and Hollywood personality Freddie Prinze Jr. recently spoke about Drew McIntyre's value in the company. He is a three-time World Champion and a prominent face of the global juggernaut.

McIntyre recently competed in a brutal match at Bad Blood against CM Punk. The two were locked inside Hell in a Cell. Both stars put up a brave fight, but Punk edged out The Scottish Warrior in the barbaric showdown.

On a recent episode of Wrestling with Freddie, the former writer hailed McIntyre as the most underrated star on the roster. He claimed the Scotsman never got the props for carrying the company during the pandemic. Prinze Jr. also pointed out that the 39-year-old's portrayal of a vicious heel ready to go to any lengths made for compelling TV.

“Since the pandemic, I think he may be the most underrated wrestler on the WWE roster. I don’t think he’s ever gotten the props he deserved for being a COVID champion, which in hindsight is a much trickier and more complicated thing than I think anyone realized at the time." Prinze Jr. continued, "His ability to turn that character into this selfish heel that is willing to permanently injure someone, like he turned into such an a*****e. And he’s been so good on the mic, better than he’s ever been." (H/T: PWMania)

Drew McIntyre is currently off WWE TV

After the battle at Bad Blood, CM Punk showed up on RAW to talk about the match and how banged up he was. He cut a serious promo and walked off, not specifying when he would be back. However, Drew McIntyre is nowhere to be seen since the battle.

The Scottish Warrior may be taking some time off to lick his wounds after the hard-hitting battle inside Hell in a Cell. He is advertised for the October 21, 2024, edition of RAW emanating from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

It will be interesting to see whether Drew McIntyre shows up to the red show on October 21.
