Maven open to WWE return on two conditions

Maven Huffman wrestled for WWE between 2001 and 2005. In his latest YouTube video, the 47-year-old addressed what it would take for him to return to the company as an in-ring competitor.

In 2001, Maven won the first season of the Tough Enough reality competition. The three-time Hardcore Champion famously eliminated The Undertaker from the 2002 Men's Royal Rumble Match. He also shared the ring with several other major stars, including Brock Lesnar and The Rock.

On his Maven Huffman YouTube channel, the former WWE Superstar made it clear he is not actively pursuing a wrestling comeback. However, he would consider returning if the money was right and he had enough time to prepare:

"I would possibly go back and wrestle if two things could happen," Maven said. "One, if I knew I was going to have a secure paycheck that, no matter what, that check was gonna come week after week. Right now, that's not the case, so if I went out and got injured, who's gonna pay my bills?" [1:09 – 1:30]

The Undertaker's former on-screen rival has not wrestled for WWE since the June 26, 2005, episode of Sunday Night Heat. He joined forces with Antonio and Romeo in a losing effort against Rosey, The Hurricane, and Val Venis.

Maven on the physical demands of wrestling for WWE again

On his popular YouTube channel, Maven often discusses the injuries and setbacks he suffered during his four-year WWE run.

If he ever wrestled for the company again, the inaugural Tough Enough winner would like to focus all his attention on being an in-ring performer:

"If I knew that money was gonna be there, that would be step one," Maven continued. "Step two, I would want to have some time to be able to just completely devote myself to getting back in the type of shape needed to be a WWE wrestler. And, again, this is another place where age is not in my favor. It's not helping me out." [1:43 – 2:05]

Realistically, Maven does not expect to return. In the same episode, he revealed a higher-up allegedly "shot down" the idea of him working for the company again.
