A WWE legend has shared a social media update to thank The Rock for the latter's respectful gesture towards him. The veteran wrestler recently announced that he would never return to the squared circle.

The name in question is 17-time World Champion Ric Flair. During an interaction with LadBible last month, The Final Boss revealed his Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling. The People's Champion listed 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and Ric Flair as his picks.

Earlier today, Ric Flair took to his X (fka Twitter) account to share a clip of The Great One naming his four top wrestlers. He thanked the latter for including him on the list. The 75-year-old referred to the Hollywood star as the most entertaining person in the business.

"Thank You @TheRock For Including Me In Your Mt. Rushmore Of Professional Wrestling. You Are Still The Most Entertaining Motherf***er In The Entertainment Business Whether It Be Wrestling Or Hollywood. WOOOOO," wrote Ric Flair.

WWE Hall of Famer comments on The Rock's return to professional wrestling

The Rock made his much-awaited return to WWE at the RAW Netflix premiere. He followed it up with an appearance at NXT New Year's Evil the very next day.

Speaking on a recent edition of Busted Open Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray expressed his desire to see The Brahma Bull return to the Stamford-based company on a full-time basis instead of part-time appearances. He wanted to witness him use 'The Final Boss' persona and his star power to help other talents get over.

"If The Rock comes back in 2025, I wanna see The Rock come back in 2025. I don't want part-time bullsh*t. Come back and be fully invested. As invested as you possibly can. [...] Not just come back for WrestleMania season and then split again. Come back and invest a year in the WWE. [...] I wanna see him fully invested, not just in a part-time role. I wanna see The Rock use his character, his star power, [and] the amount of that spotlight that he commands to help get everybody else over. One Rock can get over a plethora of talent. Give guys and gals the bump that they need to move up the card. So, that's the broad stroke of what I'd like to see from him. A little bit more of a full-time investment," he said.
