WWE Superstar Michin (aka Mia Yim) has shared a social media post showing off her new heartbreaking tattoo. The former OC member recently dealt with a personal tragic loss.
Earlier this week, the SmackDown Superstar posted an update asking fans to send positive energy to her dog, Jolene, after the latter was hospitalized. Unfortunately, as updated by Michin yesterday, Jolene has passed away. She broke the heartbreaking news with a lengthy Instagram post revealing she adopted Jolene three years ago at the age of 8.
The 35-year-old recently got the face of her late dog tattooed. She took to Instagram Stories to show off the tattoo, stating that Jolene will always be with her.
"Jolene will always be with meπ," she wrote.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis introduced the WWE Women's United States Championship on the November 8 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. It was later announced that a tournament would be set in place to crown the inaugural champion at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
The tournament commenced on November 15, with Bayley defeating Candice LeRae and B-Fab in the first qualifying match. The following week, Chelsea Green pinned Blair Devenport to advance into the next round after Bianca Belair left the contest to attend her tag team partner, Jade Cargill, who was taken out by a mystery attacker in the parking lot.
The Storm was also set to be a part of the tournament and face Michin and Piper Niven on the blue brand's show scheduled to air this Friday. However, the episode was taped on November 22 after last week's edition of the show.
NXT star Lash Legend replaced Cargill for the Triple-Threat match, which saw the former TNA Knockouts World Champion score the win. In the next round, she will face the winner of the first-round contest featuring Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, and Elektra Lopez.
The 35-year-old veteran has yet to win a WWE championship. It will be interesting to see if she can overcome the odds to become the inaugural Women's United States Champion.
