Former WWE head writer Vince Russo has plans for Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 41. The Texas Rattlesnake is one of the biggest stars in the company's history and a major attraction for WWE any day.
"Iron" Mike Tyson recently competed in a high-profile boxing match with Jake Paul. The bout created a lot of buzz on social media and reports emerged that WWE was interested in getting Tyson to show up at WrestleMania 41. This wouldn't be the first time, as the heavyweight boxer was the special guest enforcer at WrestleMania 14, helping Stone Cold win the WWE Championship against Shawn Michaels.
This week on Writing with Russo, the wrestling veteran detailed that he would slot in Stone Cold Steve Austin in Tyson's corner. Russo felt the fans would go ballistic seeing Austin and Mike Tyson together again on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
"I would go right back to where it all began, I would put Austin in that spot and people would go nuts. People would go nuts if Austin either managed Tyson or was Tyson's partner. People would go ballistic." [From 4:34 onwards]
Stone Cold Steve Austin had a long and eventful career with WWE. He led the company during one of its most successful periods - The Attitude Era. After his retirement in 2003, the star continued making sporadic appearances for the company.
In 2022, he finally came out of retirement and had a thrilling No Holds Barred match against Kevin Owens on Night One of WrestleMania 39.
