The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions are headed into WarGames with uncertainty surrounding their status and future. Jade Cargill is apparently on the shelf with a serious injury, and now her tag team partner Bianca Belair is faced with an uphill battle on the go-home show. Sources have just opened up on Jade's WrestleMania 41 status for next year and her current condition.
Big Money Jade was found laid out backstage during Friday's SmackDown. WWE announced that she had several injuries, including a bruised kidney, a sprained MCL, facial lacerations, a tibial plateau bone bruise, and deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions. However, sources later revealed that these were storyline injuries used to temporarily write Cargill out of the storylines as she was dealing with a legit injury.
Cargill is believed to be dealing with a neck issue, according to a new backstage update from PWNexus. It was noted that the three-month timeline seems to be Jade's "best-case scenario" as of now.
WWE officials have wanted to build to a major WrestleMania moment for the former AEW TBS Champion. However, Cargill's WrestleMania 41 spot is currently in jeopardy due to the injury and recovery timeline unless she makes it back in time for a WrestleMania Vegas program.
Belair will face Nia Jax on tonight's loaded RAW episode to determine the Women's WarGames advantage. Due to the injury, Cargill is set to be replaced by another superstar on Friday's go-home SmackDown.
