Rio Ferdinand recently built his perfect player with features from Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, and other stars. The former English defender played alongside Ronaldo during their time together at Manchester United and holds the Portuguese star in high regard.
Ferdinand and Ronaldo played 221 games together, winning three Premier League titles during their time at United.
In a recent interview with Mail Sport, the former defender was asked to build his perfect player. He gave the player Diego Maradona's left foot and Cristiano Ronaldo's right foot. He gave the player the brain of Xavi, the strength of Adebayo Akinfenwa, the pace of Kylian Mbappe, and the skills of Jay Jay Okocha.
Only Mbappe and Ronaldo remain active among the players selected by the former defender.
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe talked about his friendship with club legend Cristiano Ronaldo during his first press conference as a player. The Frenchman joined the Spanish giants this summer as a free agent after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.
Mbappe joined Los Blancos after becoming PSG's record goalscorer with 256 goals for the Ligue 1 giants in 308 games. Speaking to the press after the club unveiled him, the World Cup winner said (via GOAL):
"Ending the presentation with 'Un, dos, tres, Hala Madrid' was a nod to Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a friend who has made history at this club. He has always given me advice on the game and on the ability to stay connected to your passion."
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in a deal reportedly worth €94 million from Manchester United in the summer of 2009. He was sold for €117 million to Juventus nine years later after becoming the club's record goal scorer with 450 strikes.
Kylian Mbappe will be keen to mirror the Portuguese legend's impact at the club. He has gotten off to a decent start since his arrival, bagging nine goals and two assists in his first 18 games for the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners.
