1) Atlanta and Cedartown, Georgia
The filming began in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios, at 315 Deshler Street. The studio location occupied two former Delta Air Lines which were used during the filming to provide the accurate backdrop of a military base. Some scenes were also shot in Cedartown.
2) Bradford, West Yorkshire
To authentically capture the bravery of the women who served in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the Tyler Perry production team shot most of the scenes in the United Kingdom, where the battalion was posted. The city of Bradford in the province of West Yorkshire was the prime filming location for the movie.
Iconic places such as Little Germany, known for its historical and architectural beauty provided the perfect backdrop to transport viewers to the turbulent period of World War II. Some places from Little Germany, where the filming crew set up to shoot stunning actresses bringing the bravery of those soldiers to life, are Burnett Street, Cater Street, Currer Street, and Scoresby Street.
Apart from Bradford, additional filming also took place at the Imperial War Museum Duxford at Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
