Survivor Series: WarGames is all the more interesting now that CM Punk is in the mix. Making a shocking return to WWE TV last Friday, The Best in the World was announced as the fifth member of The OG Bloodline. It was a huge moment, some may even say that it has shifted tides in favor of Roman Reigns and company. However, not everyone will be pleased, including a 17-time champion who could punish the 46-year-old at Royal Rumble 2025.
The 17-time champion in question is The Rock. It was implied at Bad Blood, that The Final Boss was in cahoots with Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline, and this was further confirmed by the disappointing look he gave Roman Reigns on that night. So, with that in mind, he will not be too pleased to see CM Punk team up with The Original Tribal Chief.
Considering The Final Boss usually gets what he wants now that he is on the TKO board of directors, he may choose to reprimand CM Punk in the worst way possible. So, what better way to do that, than two months after Survivor Series at the Royal Rumble 2025? The Rock could challenge The Voice of the Voiceless to a match at the event and set a stipulation that favors him ridiculously.
Of course, The Brahma Bull will defeat Punk, recreating history 12 years after their last match. It is also a genius way for him to take out one of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes' allies, making it that much easier for him to get to them further down the line. But, at the end of the day, this is nothing more than speculation.
CM Punk joining The OG Bloodline was a surprise to many, including Roman Reigns himself. The Original Tribal Chief has a complicated history with The Best in the World, so it's safe to say his surprise is not unwarranted. After all, this is WarGames, and he will need to trust every member of his team.
With that in mind, Reigns will need to make sure that he can truly trust CM Punk. So for that very purpose, he is scheduled to sit down with Punk for a very important meeting this week on SmackDown. It will be a make-or-break discussion, especially considering Survivor Series will just be 24 hours away from that point.
Right now, there are a lot of questions surrounding their partnership. Can Roman trust Punk? Will they be on the same page at Survivor Series? Why didn't Heyman inform The OTC about this? Hopefully, all this and more will be answered in due time.
